Mobile Phone Found

Following training on Wednesday night, a Samsung mobile phone was found @ Kingsgrove High School. The phone is locked so we are unable to identify the owner. Please contact Jeff Johnston on 0406 146 287 if this is yours.

Get Involved

We are always looking for volunteers to help run the club. Please consider giving some of your time. Some contribute through the committee, coaching, managing, preparing the grounds or canteen. Many wear two hats. All however have invested in their children and the club by doing so. The club unfortunately does not run itself and we need more support. Invest in your child by helping the club they represent. We are currently looking to fill the following vacancies:
  • People with 4WD’s to move the goal posts Friday afternoon/evening and Sunday night/Monday morning. The more volunteers we get the easier for all as we can then organise a roster. We currently have 1 volunteer, would be great to get at least 1 more
Please contact me if you can volunteer some time president@bexleynorthfc.com.au. Alex

2012 Match Sheets available

The 2012 Match Sheets are available. Please take care with these files so you don’t change the formatting. If you enter the names/FFA numbers of your players, please do not change the font or font size. The SGFA are picky about the match sheets and will impose a fine on the club for any indiscretions. The club will transfer the fine to the manager of the offending team.

Perry Taylor: LIFE MEMBER

Club President Perry Taylor was made a Life Member at our 2011 Presentation Day celebrations. This award is rarely given by BNFC and recognises Perry’s outstanding voluntary contribution to the Club over the past 15 years.

Perry Taylor

Citation

Perry Taylor joined BNFC in 1997 and immediately became involved as a volunteer, a manager and assistant coach of his son’s U6 team. Over the past 15 years, apart from being coach, trainer and mentor for hundreds of playing children, behind the scenes Perry became a tireless voluntary worker for junior organised sport in the St George area, becoming the club’s Vice President in 1999 and then President from 2000.

Perry’s drive and vision saw major improvements to the club’s training and playing facilities. Noting the need for extra training space, Perry organised for floodlights at Bexley Oval outer, and negotiated an agreement with Kingsgrove High School to erect flood lights and to use the school’s ground for night training. At our home ground, Perry’s efforts realised new floodlights, new change rooms/toilets, and extensions to the gear shed and canteen (which Perry effectively owner-built), infrastructure that will set the club up for future generations of players and parents.

Perry’s dedication to the club has seen him commit countless voluntary hours ranging from fence repairs and maintenance, ground watering, moving goal posts, obtaining and installing gear shed shelving, cleaning and general maintenance. Perry Taylor’s outstanding contribution to Bexley North FC has directly benefited thousands of our local football playing children.

Thank you Perry from all current and recent past members of BNFC.
